TruVision Health Review | Can You Make Money With This MLM?

Greetings to you and welcome to my TruVision Health review.  I applaud you for taking the time to do your due diligence and research before taking the plunge into any online business.  There are many so-called ‘opportunities’ on the internet but we have to beware because there is often very little behind the happy, smiling faces of seemingly successful people and beautiful locations with wonderful-looking products.  We need to investigate what is behind the attractive images to see what is real.

In this review, I will be detailing for you the business opportunity offered by TruVision health.  I am not, nor have I ever been, an Associate of this company.  I research companies and present to you a book report on my findings.  My goal is to find out if something is worth investing your hard-earned money, or if you should keep away.  Ultimately, of course, the decision is yours.

Let’s find out now if you can make money with this MLM.

What is TruVision Health?

TruVision Health is a multi-level marketing company that sells products in the health/wellness/personal care niche.  Items include:

  • weight management products
  • energy enhancement products
  • vitamins
  • supplements
  • CBD oil patches
  • progesterone health patch for women
  • essential oils
  • skincare
  • household cleaners
  • spices
  • protein cakes
  • other snacks

They also offer a business opportunity to join the company as an Associate so that you can earn commissions by selling the products and recruiting others in a downline on your team to earn commissions from them.

Who is TruVision Health For?

They are targeting those with an interest in a healthy lifestyle and those who would like to make a part or full-time income from a home-based business.

What is becoming increasingly annoying to me though, on a personal note, is that I never see any Boomer aged models in any promotional videos or catalogs.  Do all these people think that none of us over 55 are interested in staying healthy and fit?  My guess is that they know we are too smart to fall for the pitch that we can make money using the flawed MLM business model.

products

TruVision Health Product Image ScreenshotThe TruVision product line is divided into 4 categories:

  1. Core – weight loss and energy enhancement products
  2. Complementary – cleaning products, a water carbonation spritzer, deodorants
  3. ByNature – this is their line of essential oils
  4. Dermapruv – a line of skincare products

One of their most popular products is the 5 for 5 kit.  It is designed to boost your energy, detox your body, balance your blood chemistry, and give your body the nutrition it needs. The cost is $198.75 (save $39.75 if you have it on auto-ship).

They also feature ‘Trial Kits’ which gives you the opportunity to try some of their products for a week and they will cover the cost of shipping.  You can also gift it to someone if you are trying to turn them into a loyal customer or possibly even recruit them to join your downline.

Here are the trial kits:

There are many ‘before and after’ images on the TruVision Health website depicting people looking slimmer and fitter after using the products and I am not disputing that maybe some of these products do work for people.  If you follow a balanced diet and exercise, you will lose body fat, regardless of whether you are taking supplements, energy boosters, or nutritional shakes.

However, no matter how effective they claim their products are, they are not FDA approved, and in fact, TruVision Health has come under scrutiny from the FDA for false claims regarding some of their products.

FDA warning letter

A warning letter was sent to TruVision health in 2017 regarding a few of their products that, according to their website at the time, claimed to treat or prevent certain conditions and were also misbranded as far as dosage.  You can read this FDA warning letter here.

compensation plan

It should come as no surprise to you that, as with all MLM’s, the compensation plan is quite complicated to understand, although TruVision’s is not as complex as some, but I will break it down so you can make your own decision about it.

First of all, TruVision utilizes what is termed a Unilevel Plan (as opposed to a Binary Plan).  Simply put, a Unilevel Plan allows you to recruit only one line of distributors in your team so that you can receive a commission from everyone that you recruited, up to a certain level depth, depending on the company structure (in the case of TruVision this is 8 Levels).  You can, therefore, theoretically, build a longer and potentially stronger downline network for yourself (that is if you are an ace at recruiting and training others) than with a Binary Plan.

To join as an Associate with TruVision, you should be sponsored by another Associate and thus this person becomes your upline.  You pay the enrollment fee and then you must order 100 points of product per month to remain active and eligible to receive commissions.  As an Associate, you can recruit others up to 8 Levels deep beneath you and receive commissions from them.

Basically, you can earn 4 ways with TruVision.

  1. Retail Difference – As an Associate, you will pay a special price on all the products which you can sell to your customers at the retail price and earn the difference as your commission
  2. ‘First Order Bonus’ (used to be called Fast Start”) – This pays on first orders of 75 PV (Personal Volume) or more that are placed by a customer or a new Associate.  It is paid out to the first 4 qualified Associates that have generated a minimum of 100 PV in the previous or current month
  3. Check Matching – this is a bonus that you can earn by helping your team below you to earn quickly and you will earn 10%.  So for example, if someone below you has earned $1000, you will earn $100 and there is no limit to the number of people in your downline from whom  you can earn check matches (this requires really motivating those in your downline to recruit more people themselves and sell lots of product)
  4. Global Leadership Bonus – This is a performance bonus if you are a very high achiever at TruVision and for those at the highest ranks. That means the top 1%.  Here you can receive 3% of total worldwide commissionable volume.  You will have to have hundreds, if not thousands of recruits in order to achieve this bonus

Here is an image of the ranks and qualified levels on which an Associate is eligible to receive commissions:

TruVision Review Compensation Plan Screenshot

If it looks complicated, don’t worry, it is meant to be!  There are several videos on the TruVision website that explain the compensation plan, but none of them will tell you how much you can earn.  I guarantee you that it won’t be much unless you are in the top tier in the ‘Global Bonus Pool’ and which will be the top 1% of Associates.

Here is the entire compensation plan if you would like to see it.

income disclosure statement

There is no income disclosure statement to be found in all my research on this company.  If I find one, I will show it to you.  This always indicates a lack of transparency for me.  Why don’t they show us what their Associates are making?  Probably because 97% of people that join a multi-level marketing company make little to nothing.  But, don’t take my word for it, you can read this article from the Consumer Awareness Institute that goes into greater depth about the high failure rate for those that join MLM’s.

shipping information

Interestingly, on the TruVision Health website, right a the bottom of the ‘Home’ page, there is a section where you can click to see shipping information which is important when you are ordering products for your business.  Instead, it details their Privacy Policy and in fact, I could not find any fees listed for shipping anywhere on their website.  This is something that can really add up quickly.  Oversite or deliberate?  Weird.

Other things you will have to pay for yourself are their truSummit (Convention) in Atlanta, GA., and truAscent which is held in Costa Rica.  You will be strongly encouraged to attend these business building/leadership and motivational conventions.

complaints

There are many, many complaints about TruVision, a huge number of them focusing on the lack of customer support, and being charged without permission.  You can read about those here.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • actual products
  • free shipping on trial kits

Cons

  • flawed MLM business model
  • lots of verified complaints
  • Not FDA approved
  • have to hassle family and friends to join your downline

Final Thoughts on TruVision Health

Since there is no income disclosure statement, we cannot see how much Associate’s are earning at TruVision Health and I find that very concerning.  I do not believe that TruVision is a scam, but I also don’t believe you will make any money if you join them as an Associate.

I promise you that no matter how upbeat and friendly the videos are on their website, there is no hint of potential income because you won’t be making anything at all, not for a long time and not until you have harassed and recruited your family members, friends, inner circle and acquaintances who will start to turn and run the other way when they see you coming.

You may want to just join as a customer and see if you like their products because there is free shipping on those kits with that one week trial.  However, one week is not enough time to experience a significant difference with any product, in my experience.  I also don’t like the fact that they had issues with the FDA regarding some of their products, plus there are all the complaints regarding customer service and incorrect billing.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review of TruVision Health.  Please be careful about any online business opportunity, especially those with the multi-level marketing model.  I have created a checklist for you that gives you more things to beware of with the MLM model.

Hey, maybe you are an Associate with TruVision and you are very successful? If you are, we would love it if you would share your experience with us about your financial success in the comments section below.

A Better Way To Make Money Online

Philip and I found out very quickly, when we retired, that we could not afford to do so comfortably.  We needed to have an additional income stream other than just our retirement funds.  We spent a long time researching many opportunities and quickly realized that the multi-level marketing business model was not attractive to us.

We came upon a much better alternative that is easy and simple to understand.  We discovered Affiliate Marketing.

Why limit yourself to selling products from one company and having to pay out to an upline above you and deal with complicated compensation plans?  If you enjoy health/wellness products, why not just learn how to create your very own website and sell whatever you want on it?  We didn’t know anything at all about how to do this, but when we discovered Wealthy Affiliate, we found a platform that would offer:

  •  all the training, tools and resources needed to start your own website selling something you love or feel passionate about
  • a place to host that website
  • 24/7 online support
  •  a friendly and supportive global community always willing to help you
  • FREE to get started (you can come on in and try it without obligation) opportunity

If you decide to give it a try, you will see us right there waiting for you and ready to help!

Stay safe online and I wish you every happiness and success.

best wishes,

Colette
