Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool Review – give yourself an edge in SEO

We all know how important SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is for our online business.  In this Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool review, I am going to show you how using the Jaaxy platform will help take you to the next level in SEO and give your business the boost it has been waiting for.

What is the Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool?

Jaaxy is an online platform for keyword research.  When you type a keyword into its search box, Jaaxy collects search data from the three leading search engines, Google, Bing, and Yahoo, and then shows you, in clear and simple numerical terms, how you can expect that keyword to perform, if used appropriately, in the content you publish to the web.  In other words, how many visitors you can expect that keyword to attract to your website.

Jaaxy has a number of additional features and benefits, which I describe below, but keyword research is its primary function.

Who is it For?

Jaaxy is, quite simply, for anyone who publishes content to the web, at least if they hope to attract people to view that content.

Why is Keyword Research Important?

Keyword research is the cornerstone of effective online marketing.  Whether your marketing vehicle is your website, YouTube videos, email campaigns, or anything else, your marketing efforts will not be effective without the right keywords.  And keywords don’t grow on keys.  They have to be thoroughly researched and tested.

Your goal as an online marketer is to rank on page 1 on the search engines and, in particular, on Google.  Whether you get there or not will be largely determined by two principal factors, namely the amount of traffic that your keyword generates and the amount of competition from other marketers using the same keyword.

If you are a relative beginner in online marketing your principal concern should be to minimize the competition even if this means (as it usually does) that traffic also is likely to be less.  But if you can find keywords with low competition and high traffic then not only do you have a good chance of making it to Page 1 you are likely going to get there very quickly.  Such keywords are gold to an online marketer and the ability to identify them is definitely going to give you an SEO edge on your competition.

As you gain experience and achieve greater authority within the search engines you will likely become less concerned with competition and more focused on higher traffic but even then you still need to know the numbers in order to strategize your campaigns.

So What Does Jaaxy do, exactly? – Features and Benefits

Based on data gathered from the three leading search engines, Google, Bing, and Yahoo, Jaaxy provides us with critical information that will help us ensure that what we publish to the web has the best chance of ranking on page 1 of those search engines, thus attracting more visitors to our website and which will, in turn, lead to an increase in sales.

Jaaxy does this in several different ways.

Find Keywords

This will undoubtedly be your most used feature.  Just tap the keyword you have in mind to use into the search box and hit ‘Find Keywords’.  In the following example, I used the words “best canned dog food for small dogs” and this is what I got:

sample jaaxy keyword search result

You will see the words I searched in the search box near the top of the page and then the search results appear below.  The first result is for the exact words I typed in and you will see a series of figures to the right of that under the column headings; Avg, Traffic, QSR, KQI, and SEO.  You will also see a column headed “Domains”.

So what does all this mean?

  • Avg is the average number of searches that the keyword receives per month.  This should be 30+ as a minimum.  Over 100 is the goal.  An exception to that 30 minimum would be if you were reviewing a brand new product and include the product name in the keyword.  Because that keyword has not been exposed to the search engines there will be no data for Jaaxy to process and the resultant score will likely read “<10”.
  • Traffic is the number of monthly visits to your website that you can expect if your post ranks on page 1 in the search engines.
  • QSR (Quoted Search Results) is the number of competing websites ranked in Google for this exact keyword.  If your website is new then you should try to keep this figure below 100 (the lower the better) but as your website starts to gain authority, anywhere under 200 would be fine.
  • KQI is an indicator of the overall quality of the keyword.  Look for this to be “Great”, particularly with a newer website.  “Normal” is okay if you have a more established website.  Avoid keywords that are rated as “Poor”.
  • SEO is a numerical score (1-100) based on a combination of traffic and competition.  The higher the score (up to 100) the more likely you will rank for this keyword on page 1 of the search engines.  Look to keep this score above 90 if possible.  Over 95 is excellent.
  • Domains. In case you are searching keywords for your new niche website Jaaxy will also search domain availability.  Just click on “Search” for the name you are interested in and Jaaxy will tell you what’s available.  In the following example, you will see that “bestcanneddogfoodforsmalldogs.com/.net/.org are all available.  Click on your choice and Jaaxy will take you straight to a page where you can immediately purchase and register that domain name.

In determining whether or not to use any given keyword the three most important figures are Avg, QSR, and SEO.  For my proposed keyword, “best canned dog food for small dogs”, these are 152, 20, and 92 respectively, so Jaaxy is telling me it would be good to go with this keyword.

In the above search result, Jaaxy also suggests some alternative keywords (based on my original keyword) and shows the scores for these also.  This allows me to see if there is a more effective alternative keyword for me to use.  Also, each of those alternative keywords is ‘clickable’ and if I click on one of them Jaaxy will perform a full search of that new keyword and the result will include a whole pile more suggestions based on that new keyword.  This means that, in a matter of seconds, I could get literally hundreds of potentially useable keywords, all stemming from, and related to, that first keyword.  Pretty impressive, don’t you think?

You can check out the Jaaxy keyword search tool right now, just type a keyword into the search box below:

Save Related Keywords to Categorized Lists

You can see from the above example how easy it is to come up with a large number of related keywords.  Chances are you will use just one right away but there could be others that might work for a future post.  So Jaaxy includes a feature that allows you to save selected keywords.  You see the little box to the left of each keyword in the above search result?  Just click on that and a “Save to List” box pops up and which gives you the option to either save to an existing list or create a new list.  Make your choice and the keyword is saved for future use.

Search History

Jaaxy keeps a record of every keyword search you make.  So, suppose, following on from my first example, that my website has something to do with dogs and I wanted to review any keyword searches I may have made including the words “dog food”.  I would just click on “Search History” in the top menu, enter “dog food” in the search box and, voilà, there is every keyword search I have ever made including those two words:

And, again, each keyword is clickable so I can instantly review its current score and see a whole pile more suggested alternative keywords.

Search Analysis

I love this feature because it allows me to ‘spy’ on my competition.

Staying with the dogs’ theme, let’s say I am thinking of using the keyword “best harnesses for small dogs”.  I have done my regular keyword search and it gets all the right scores but now I want to get a feel for the actual competition I will be up against and not just a number.  So I head over to “Search Analysis” and tap in my keyword and this is what I get:

jaaxy search analysis result

This shows me all the posts ranking on page 1 of Google (I can do the same for Bing and Yahoo) for this keyword.  Now, and this is the really cool part if I click on “View Details” to the right of the # 1 ranking post “7 Best Dog Harnesses for Small Dogs”, I get this:

Now I can see all the ‘back-office’ type information on this # 1 ranking post including meta description, word count, backlinks, and Alexa Rank.  I can even see if they have Google Adsense on the website.  Armed with this information I can make a much more informed decision as to how I want to proceed with my own post.

Brainstorm Niche Ideas

This feature helps you come up with niche ideas and is intended to help get the creative juices flowing.  Click on “Brainstorm” in the top menu and it will show you everything that is currently trending on Google Trends, Alexa Topics, Amazon, and Twitter.  Click on an item and it gets added to your Brainstorm queue, then head back to “Keywords” and you will see the same Brainstorm Queue.  Click on an item there and Jaaxy will perform a keyword search.

Site Rank

This feature allows you to check your site rank for any given post without having to laboriously search through page after page on Google, Bing, and Yahoo.  Just tap in the keyword and your website domain URL and in seconds Jaaxy will let you know your rank on all three of the search engines:

Note; Jaaxy searches the first 20 pages only.

Each Site Rank search result is automatically saved by Jaaxy and the next time you search the same keyword the result will automatically indicate any change in ranking since the previous search.

You can also have Jaaxy automatically track your keyword rankings and then display their performance in a graphical form.

Find Affiliate Programs

This feature helps you find affiliate programs with products for sale within your niche.

Let’s say you want to find some products to promote related to affiliate marketing.  Click on Affiliate Programs in the top menu and then enter “affiliate marketing” in the search box.

This will bring up not only a list of products currently available for promotion but it will also give the website for each product.  It even shows you the sale commission currently being paid.  The above result is for the ClickBank network but you can also search under Commission Junction, Link Share, and Digital River.  This represents a huge time saving over a manual search of each network website.

There are Three Levels of Jaaxy Membership Available

The Free Starter membership is intended to give you a feel for the platform and allows you to make a limited number of searches.

Pro is going to be the best option for most users, particularly those with between one and five active websites that they manage themselves.  It produces results quickly, if not as fast as Enterprise, and its 2K Site Rank scans should be more than adequate.  The reference to “Manual QSR Search” means that you don’t automatically get the QSR (number of competing websites) or SEO figures with the other results but have to click in the KQI column each time.  This is hardly an imposition.

Enterprise is designed for ‘power’ users who own and operate multiple websites and those who provide management services (including SEO) on other people’s websites.  They will likely perform hundreds of searches a day and need the fastest possible response time.  The QSR and SEO results are automatically generated in Enterprise.

Jaaxy Pros and Cons

  • Intuitive, easy to learn interface
  • Produces super fast, super accurate, results
  • Gives you all the information you need but without cluttering you up with details that are irrelevant to most users
  • It’s an online application (no downloads) so it can be used on either a pc or a Mac
  • Jaaxy can do in seconds what it could take you hours to do manually
  • Helpful and easy to follow training videos available within the platform
  • Fast and helpful support

  • Expensive, particularly Enterprise, but still less than many other similar programs that don’t perform as well
  • Needs an internet connection
  • No function to localize a search

Consider this Option

The owners of Jaaxy also own an excellent and very popular training program for affiliate marketers called Wealthy Affiliate and members of that program can get Jaaxy Pro and Enterprise at greatly reduced rates.  The price of Enterprise is $49.00 per month (50% saving) and Pro is just $19.00 per month (62% saving).

In addition to world-class training (two comprehensive courses, thousands of training tutorials and videos, and a weekly live training webinar), Wealthy Affiliate membership also includes unlimited access to their website creation tool, excellent technical support, the hosting of up to 10 websites, and the support of the Wealthy Affiliate community of members.

Monthly membership of Wealthy Affiliate is $49.00 but there is an annual payment option of $495.00 which gives a $93.00 saving on the monthly payments.  If you took that option and then purchased Jaaxy Pro for $19.00 your total monthly commitment would be just $10.00 more than the regular non-member price of Pro alone!  Even if you feel you don’t need the training offered by Wealthy Affiliate, there are so many other benefits of membership.  The included hosting alone could save you up to $250.00 a month.

  1. Hi. Great article …Thanks for your great information, the content is quite interesting. I’ve been using Hemingway and Yoast for awhile but my content is still not ranking well in Google. I’ve been playing around with INK because it is supposed to provide suggestions on writing AND ranking improvements by comparing my work to similar articles online.

    • Hi Jazlyn and thank you for your comment on my Jaaxy Review.

I had not heard of INK before you mentioned it. I have taken a look and it seems that, although there is an app available, it is still very much in its development stage and which would make me nervous about using it at this time. New apps can be very temperamental and I wouldn’t want to take any risks in such an important area as SEO.

On the other hand, Jaaxy has been around for more than six years and has stood the test of time well as its ever-increasing membership indicates. Also, and what clinches it for me, Jaaxy is included for free with membership of the online marketing platform, Wealthy Affiliate.
